Our Driver’s License Appeal Practice

In Michigan, when your driver’s license has been revoked for alcohol or substance abuse, you will not be able to bring an appeal until one year from the date of the offense. At that time, you should receive a letter from the Secretary of State’s office indicating that you are eligible for an appeal.

To get your driving privileges reinstated, you must show that you never had an alcohol or substance abuse problem or that the problem is now under control. To have the problem under control, you must show that you have been sober for at least one year.

When you retain Greg Kudela to handle your driver’s license appeal, he will thoroughly explain the standard for reinstating your driving privileges and help you determine the likelihood of succeeding in your appeal. He will also help you understand the type of evidence required to reinstate your license, and will compile the evidence and prepare witnesses for your hearing. He will attend the hearing as your advocate, making certain that the evidence is properly presented.
