Our Driver's License Appeal Practice
In Michigan, when your driver's license has been revoked for alcohol or substance abuse, you will not be able to bring an appeal until one year from the date of the offense. At that time, you should receive a letter from the Secretary of State's office indicating that you are eligible for an appeal.
To get your driving privileges reinstated, you must show that you never had an alcohol or substance abuse problem or that the problem is now under control. To have the problem under control, you must show that you have been sober for at least one year.
